Character traits. 

Your Sun-Sign is Aquarius, the 11th Sign of the Zodiac. Under the rules of astrology a Sign has three basic characteristics which when combined give the distinct nature of the Sign. For Aquarius these are: Positive, Fixed, Air. The ruling planets of this Sign are Uranus and Saturn. The overall effect is to give friendly and independent overtones to your self expression.

The planets in this year's chart are divided into two distinct groups which lie in opposition to each other. The implication is that you will be pulled in two directions. Part of you wants to go your own way and attend to your own interests yet the other part of you is wrapped up in your relationships with other people, and the two are clashing. Which way do you go? Hard to say, but chances are you will alternate between the two. 

Your Sun has only awkward aspects, making this a year in which being yourself and expressing yourself may not be easy or you may do this in the wrong way. Uranus affects your ability to be calm and in control, you are jumping around all over the place like a firecracker, acting on impulse, and jumping to conclusions - all due to restlessness and inner tension. It will be hard to settle into a stable pattern or relax. Chances are you will occasionally go out on a limb and pursue a course of action you know is wrong but you may not be able to stop yourself. Needless to say you may not make or keep friends for very long and, in addition, you may have to deal with awkward and unpredictable people who will not co-operate. 

Particular care is needed with finances because you may make rash decisions or impulse spend. 

Pluto is also affecting your Sun creating emotional uncertainty and perhaps even strange fears. Things are changing in your life, but where is it all leading? The future seems less than clear, so you may decide to take drastic action and change things yourself. The problem with this strategy is that you will be acting in response to your emotions and as such not really looking where you are going. Certain people may be attempting to manipulate you for their own selfish reasons or trying to place you under pressure to gain an advantage. Not necessarily openly, though. 

The Sun rules relationships in your Solar chart, so Uranus and Pluto may be causing problems in this area of your life. Part of you seeks excitement, new avenues, and more freedom, but are you looking where you are going? Sudden attachments may seem attractive but they are destined to be short lived. Pluto creates emotional problems,  doubts, and uncertainty, and may even push you into drastic action. You should stop for a while and really consider what is happening because if you pursue a line of action allowing your feelings to dominate what you are doing you may make errors that will be hard to clear up. 

Pluto does have a more beneficial side this year and it promises a new beginning in relationships that is more to your liking and more in keeping with your real needs. There may be connections to your home and domestic life and it is equally possible that someone far way may be more important than you realise at first. 

Saturn, your other ruling planet, lies in the 8th House, and this suggest that a change is evident that is slow to materialise but may well be fundamental to your future. This will, incidentally, help alleviate many of the problems previously mentioned. Something, or someone, is on your side.
