Madonna.

The recent press speculation regarding Madonna's marriage caught my attention so I thought it prudent to look at her chart to see what lies ahead. 

Her birth chart shows Pisces on the cusp of the 7th, indicating great love and willing sacrifices for those close to her, or confusion, idealism, and deception. I don't think she saw the reality of her partnership, being lost in a fog of romantic dreaminess which tended to override her normally astute nature. True, there is a lovely conjunction with Jupiter bringing joy, but difficult aspects tend to counteract the good to some degree. The afflicting planet is Venus - another planet of relationships - indicating that idealism will be followed by disappointment, the problem being one of perfectionism - an inability to accept a person for what they are. Even the slightest fault, or perceived fault, is likely to set off a mental/emotional process which could eventually lead to separation in the long term.

The planetary transits offer little guidance, other than awkward Uranus afflicting the Moon. Not easy to keep things emotionally stable while this is around, and always the chance of sudden, inexplicable changes in direction, She needs to think before she acts.

The current Solar Return charts is much more informative, showing quite definite relationship problems. Her relationship ruler - Neptune - is generally afflicted indicating that there are real problems here. I don't think she is seeing the reality of the situation and is wide open to deception by others and by herself. Her temporary ruler is Mercury which is highly afflicted, thus adding more problems. She is behaving secretly, or so she thinks, perhaps brooding over what the future holds for herself and her marriage. It would be better to talk things through and bring everything out into the open. Gullibility and perfectionism are likely to take their toll and sudden, drastic action may ensue. A helpful Saturn my bring in an element of reality and sense, but I can't honestly say that I am hopeful about the outcome.
