 Good morning.

1st August 2006.

The free birth chart plus the additional information you can use to discover something about yourself and your future has been a great success, so much so that I am now working on a more comprehensive version. It will be called AstoTour and should be available early next week. Those of you who have already had  the present version will be able to get the new version absolutely free - details soon. AstroTour is a major leap in the understanding of birth charts because it will allow you to tour your own chart online instead of looking at the usual sample charts, thereby gaining some understanding of yourself and how Astrology works. It is by no means a substitute for a full report, but it is informative and interesting and is way ahead of anything presently available on the Internet.

2nd August 2006. Fake Astrologer Rochelle Gordon.

I began to check out Rochelle Gordon some time ago and sure enough my investigations revealed yet another Pasqualina-style scam. As you can see, Rochelle's modesty inclines her to limit her description of her abilities to 'America's Foremost Psychic Astrologer'. Her supposed psychic powers were seemingly unable to spot that I was an investigator.

The Scam begins with an innocent looking free horoscope and, of course, the obligatory lucky numbers. I checked these out and not a single one came up on the Lottery. Shortly afterwards came the message 'Your destiny is about to change forever on the 23rd August'. Now were I have heard something like this before? Sounds like another Pasqualina-type ploy.

Of course there is no such thing happening - I should know, I am an Astrologer. This is a scam designed to get you to part with your money for what will turn out to be a useless computer report at best. Avoid this person like the plague. More to follow...

4th August 2006. Jonathan Cainer & Cosmic Ordering.

King of the Sun Sign Cowboys Jonathan Cainer is continuing to abandon Astrology in order to promote sales of his book which are flagging. You can find him on Saturday at The Big Green Gathering at Fernhill Farm, Cheddar Road, Compton Martin, Nr Bristol, BS40 6LD Go along and ask Cainer who is reading the Tarot cards and answering 'your pressing questions', or who is typing out his supposed 'personal' reports while he is away. If you get a sensible reply I will be surprised.

9th August 2006. Paul McCartney & Heather Mills.

Speculations and revelations are now hitting the Media with increasing regularity as both parties begin a war in which neither can truly win. But what is the truth behind the facade and the sensationalism off modern gutter-journalism? Astrology can reveal quite a lot of what is really happening behind the scenes, in particular what caused this relationship and how do the two people really feel about each other. See what their charts reveal here

Latest on Rochelle Gordon.

The latest in a series of scams operated by this person arrived in my mailbox today. It promises winnings of thousands of pounds on the Lottery regularly using what she describes as your personal lucky numbers. The last ones failed miserably, so why should these be any different?

With scams like this, always ask yourself; If it was any good why does she need to sell it, she ought to be rich beyond her wildest dreams. Don't believe a word of it. More on this lady here

10th August 2006. Terrorist attacks.

When an event like yesterday's terrorist attack hits the headlines you can bet that a spate of retro-predictions will happen all over the Internet with various people claiming that the event was clearly written in the heavens. But, may I ask, why didn't anyone see this before the event? Some of the methods used to justify these predictions are highly dubious to say the least, with little pieces of rock such as Chiron, the Moon's nodes, 'theoretical' planets and heaven knows what being summoned to prove the point. Again, I ask why were these methods not used prior to the event?

The problem, as always, is that in order to predict anything you need an accurate chart, and no such chart exists. Even if it did, it would require a whole army of Astrologers to keep on top of the task of checking what could amount to thousands of charts need to cover even a fraction of the possibilites. So, until we Astrologers find a better way of doing things, the chances of spotting a major catastrophe like this are very poor. I am forever hopeful.

14th August 2006. Sun Sign Astrology and the demise of the real thing.

There was once a time when Astrology was treated with respect and was practiced by honourable people who went to great lengths to study the subject. Things began to change when the Church declared it be the work of the Devil and banned any study or practice, while continuing to use the subject themselves in secret. Even today there are people who still think it is evil - usually those who haven't bothered to study the subject and find out for themselves.

There then follow the so-called rational age in which science gradually replaced God and declared that all things could be explained scientifically. Nonsense of course, but scientists influenced public opinion to such a degree that no one bothered, or dared, to question them. Naturally, something as evil as Astrology was ridiculed and consigned to the waste bin, again without any attempt to investigate properly. But Astrology simply wouldn't go away, and despite their manic efforts to eradicate it, it continued to survive. The worst blow came when along came Sun Sign Astrology which propelled Astrology into the pubic arena in a way not possible previously. Soon there were 'Astrologers' in their hundreds churning out their predictions each and every day for digestion by the public who, not being aware that they were being fed rubbish, absorbed the material with enthusiasm. Far worse was the new breed of Internet scammers and criminals who, armed with a computer program, could pretend to be Astrologers and con the public out of money. The Sun Sign Cowboys and the scammers now represent the vast bulk of popular Astrology, which is very sad. We also have pretend 'Institutions' offering courses of dubious worth often copied from some outdated book that trap the unwary by offering diplomas - diplomas that carry no legal recognition and so are worthless.

Genuine Astrology does still exist, but the very few who do understand the subject and apply its rules have to fight hard to be recognised, or even noticed. I hope you will recognise that this site seeks to represent the truth about Astrology and seeks to further the subject.

15 August 2006. Jonathan Cainer - daft ideas.

Jonathan Cainer has returned from a brief excursion into the world of get-rich-quick books to inflict his version of Astrology on us once again. His latest comments concern the Saturn-Neptune opposition and the T-square formed by Jupiter which he considers to be 'auspicious', thereby ignoring centuries of tradition and just about every book ever written on Astrology. This, however, is typical of the man for in Cainer's world everything is beautiful and bad things simply don't happen. Have you ever seen a Cainer prediction warning of difficulties? Come to think of it, have you ever seen a Cainer prediction that actually bore any resemblance to reality? I have sent the following email to Jonathan. As usual, it will be ignored.

Hello Jonathan.

I refer to your comments on the Saturn-Neptune-Jupiter alignment currently in force which you describe as 'auspicious'. You know as well as I do -or at least you ought to know - that a T-square is indicative of tension and challenging conditions. Any textbook will tell you the same. Why then do you continue to maintain that this, and indeed all  difficult aspects, are beneficial? The current situation should give you some idea of what T-squares can do, but if you doubt this then try looking at the charts of anyone who has the configuration and there you will always find difficulties.

Regards.

James Young

Astrologer.

16th August 2006. Rochelle Gordon.

Scammer and astro-fraud Rochelle Gordon is still sending emails to me containing all manner of absurd promises. She now mentions Wendy Carol and her amazing powers. This is probably an alias, but in any case the whole thing is a shameful scam. You can see some of the online complaints at  http://badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff157941.htm

Committees - don't you just love them? Astronomers with nothing better to do have now reclassified the entire Solar System and given us three more planets. Thankfully Sedna - Jonathan Cainer's favourite planet - has been consigned to the waste bin where it rightfully belongs. But, watch out for the fake 'interpretations' for the supposed new planets. [See my video Diary].

18th August 2006. More planets?

Since the announcement by astronomers that Ceres, Charon and Xena are now planets [with more to follow], I predicted that the fake Astrologers would immediately begin to milk the public by offering 'interpretations'. Jonathan Cainer has already done this with Sedna and now, according to his web site, is already making the case for their inclusion into Astrology, presumably with a view to making lots of money. The fact that Astrology is being dragged into the gutter doesn't seem to bother him. Cainer tries to make the case that astronomers are experts in their field so we should automatically take notice. I disagree. Astronomers may be experts in their subject but they know nothing about Astrology - in fact they positively hate it! Could it be that part of their reasoning is to cause more confusion in the same way they tried to con us into believing that there were in fact 13 Zodiac Signs? This, you will remember, was based on the inability of one of their members to distinguish between the Zodiac and the constellations. It has been repeatedly pointed out that Astrologers don't use constellations, but so far it has fallen on deaf ears. I wonder why.

Perhaps somewhere down the line there may be a case for inclusion of these bodies into Astrology - perhaps. Only after many years of careful observation can we be sure that they are relevant - it cannot be done in a few days or weeks. Astrology is already cluttered up with all manner of spurious heavenly bodies, such as asteroids, to which have been attached various meanings, mainly for the purpose of self-aggrandisement or to make money. Serious research and observation has been avoided in favour of guesswork and speculation and we are now in danger of seeing the same thing happening all over again. It cannot be allowed to happen and I for one will expose any attempt by fake Astrologers and glory-hunters to con the public. If you see any interpretations for these bodies in the next ten years I can guarantee they are ramblings or money-making ploys - don't fall for it.

21 August 2006. eBay fake Astrologers.

The scammers and fake Astrologers have now moved onto eBay where they are assured of lucrative pickings. Don't be fooled, these are the same people who plague the Internet with their false claims and poor quality computer reports.

Skywatch.

As predicted in Skywatch, the greedy oil companies and power generators have yet again racked up the price of fuel and I think we can see more of this kind of theft in the near future with little chance of anything being done to control them. Mars opposing Uranus predictably caused chaos. These examples of planetary squares and oppositions should be a lesson to those who seem to think that difficult aspects should always be interpreted as 'auspicious' , presumably to gain favour with the public by always giving them good news. Reality doesn't work like that.

22 august 2006. More planets?

New planets? As I reported earlier, Ceres, Xena and Charon have been given the status of planets by astronomers but it is my opinion and that of any informed Astrologer that they should not be given any importance in Astrology, at least not until years of observation has been carried out by competent researchers. I also stated that Jonathan Cainer would jump on the bandwagon as a precursor to yet another money-making scheme. Today I am proved right as Cainer starts the process by talking about which Signs these planets ought to rule, thereby affecting Astrology adversely by putting false ideas into the minds of the public. Don't believe a word of it - it is pure speculation by someone who should know better but obviously doesn't. Remember previous 'interpretations', such as the now discredited Sedna, the Dark Moon, the Sun Venus conjunction, the Harmonic Concordance, etc...Why should this be any different?

23 August 2006. Rochelle Gordon.  Jonathan Cainer's latest silly idea.

AstroTour is proving a great success, so if you haven't checked it out yet you should. Some improvements have also been made to make navigation easier and I hope to add sound shortly for those of you who prefer to listen rather than read.

Scammer Rochelle Gordon is still trying to sell me various cons under the disguise of 'helping me'. She uses the technique of pretending to refer me to an assortment of 'Astrologers', most of who are either bogus or have criminal records. The latest one is Joan Marie.

The usual lucky numbers and an assortment of lucky trinkets are on offer which are guaranteed to change my life for the better. I have to ask the question - if they are so good why doesn't she use them herself instead of operating scams for the sole purpose of conning money out of gullible people?

As stated earlier, Jonathan Cainer has begun the process of dragging Astrology into disrepute by now deciding which of the 'new' planets rules which Sign of the Zodiac. Utter rubbish! I have sent the following email which I am confident will, as usual, be ignored, thus proving to all and sundry that Cainer is a law unto himself and cares little about Astrology or the effects his ramblings could have on it.

Hello Jonathan.

I note with interest that you have gone on record as saying:

Arguably, Charon, Pluto's Twin, co-governs Scorpio leaving Ceres for Virgo or Gemini and Xena for Taurus or Libra. Problem solved? Not quite. More Plutons are sure to be announced soon.

My readers and I would like to know what evidence you have for this, or is it all an assumption?

24 August 2006. Am I a scammer? I should think not!

I have been asked a very good question, which is: 'How do I know you aren't a scammer?' It is a good question, and the writer did make me think about it. Of course I could say I am not a scammer in large letters, but what would that prove? Instead, I will try to answer in this way.

  • Scammers try to sell you lucky numbers and trinkets in addition to badly produced computer reports. I don't.

  • Scammers make ludicrous claims, such as; America's leading psychic Astrologer. I don't.

  • Scammers have websites usually consisting of only one page offering a free horoscope. My website has over 250 pages of Astrological information - information and ideas that are my own - they haven't been copied from books or someone else.

  • Most scammers will have complaints listed on the Internet. You won't find any about me.

  • Scammers and fake astrologers are only there to sell, sell, and sell again. They give nothing. The prime function of my web site is to inform.

  • Fake Astrologers write daily horoscopes for newspapers and magazines. I don't, simply because it is impossible to be accurate and I won't make forecasts I don't believe in.

  • Fake Astrologers only know about Sun Signs, although there are some, like Jonathan Cainer, who pretend to know about the subject. I know my subject. You can ask me any question you like about Astrology and you will get a polite and informed reply.

  • Fake astrologers use computer reports disguised in some way to look like the real thing. I don't use computer reports.

  • Scammers don't spend time exposing scammers. I do.

  • Fake Astrologers crave publicity, celebrity status, and all they money they can get. I don't. I am simply an Astrologer with a passion for the subject whose main aim is to present Astrology as it really is. Astrology as it used to be - Astrology as it should be.

26 August 2006. Jonathan Cainer's fake Tarot readings.

Important. Beware of Fastrology [fastrology.co.uk]. A glance at their privacy policy reveals that they will install spyware on your computer to gather personal information that will be passed on to spammers and presumably other pests. Stay away!

Had problems with the Jonathan Cainer Tarot Jonathan Cainer Tarot card readings? Not satisfied? Think you may have been duped? Help me put a stop to this computer-scam and, at the same time, help others avoid being ripped off by telling me about it. Email me direct. No one else will read your email and it's all in full confidence, of course.

For those of you who haven't experienced this supposed problem-solving service you should be aware that although Cainer implies the he, personally, will read your cards, it is not the truth. In fact a database of readymade 'interpretations' is used by a computer program to give the impression that he is talking directly to you. The chances of having your problem solved are therefore minimal, and if you think you haven't been answered then Cainer will simply put the blame on you. This is how he answers one such enquirer on his web site. The words are entirely his.

The Tarot gave me a reading that had nothing to do with my question!

Jonathan says you have definitely got the reading you needed to hear you just haven't picked up on the relevancy yet.  Even if you were not aware of it, there were likely to be several key issues in your mind when the cards were dealt which can make it hard to see how the reading fits in.  Somewhere in one of those three cards is an image or an idea that you need to seize and develop to help you understand your best course of action.  You should listen again and again until you hear the hint.

In other words - hard  luck. Any chance of getting your money back? What do you think!

28 August 2006. Jonathan Cainer's fake Tarot readings.

Had problems with this service? Not satisfied? Think you may have been duped? Help me put a stop to this computer-scam and, at the same time, help others avoid being ripped off by telling me about it. Email me direct. No one else will read your email and it's all in full confidence, of course.

When free is not free.

Scam Astrologer Rochelle Gordon who originally offered a free regular horoscope has now changed her mind and is now asking for $9.95 to continue. I assume this applies to everyone eventually. She now wants me to pay for something that was advertised as free and and to  continue to bombard me with insane offers and ridiculous claims involving people who are either bogus or have criminal records.  What a cheek!

30 August 2006. Fake Astrologer Blair Gorman.

Blair Gorman recently dumped his latest 'VERY special offer to a VERY limited number of people' in my mail box with the offer 'Try before you buy'. Sound good? No less that 10 reports worth $254.50 for only $97. I should point out that the cost of producing these fake computerised reports is a few pennies. Gorman is doing you no favours here.

In actual fact this is all a lie because Gorman wants you to pay for these rubbish reports and then claim your money back if not satisfied, which is a far cry from 'try before you buy'. You are required to pay by credit card  before delivery and then, according to him, will not have the amount deducted for 30 days. He states that if you are not satisfied during this period, send him an email to this effect and he will not take the payment from your card. As if! Trying to get your money back will, I am sure, be far more difficult than you can imagine. Don't fall for it.

The first time he tried this stunt he claimed the offer was being made to raise money so that he could redesign his website which, incidentally, consists of only one page! I note that his web site is still the same.

31 August. How to spot a fake Astrologer.

One of the hallmarks of a fake Astrologer and potential scammer is a web site consisting of only one page, usually inviting you to request a free horoscope - nothing else. The scammer will then try to lull you into a false sense of security by telling you how wonderful your life is going to be and that good things are about to happen. They try to imply that they are your friend and have your interests at heart. It is all lies.

Next will come special offers, sometimes 'just for you', consisting of supposed personal reports to help you take advantage of certain powerful trends coming your way. More lies. Lucky number may be offered to you - they don't work. All you will get is a cheap and inaccurate computer report which costs them nothing. There may be hints of 'special ceremonies' or powerful amulets prepared specially for you or hints you are being give 'special protection'. Even more lies. Ask yourself this: if they were any good why aren't they using them for their own benefit?

Scammers don't give a hoot about you, they care only for easy money and they will bombard you will highly convincing emails until they get what they want. If you do fall victim to this sort of crime you stand little or no chance of getting your money back and, furthermore, the authorities and those who brag about protecting your interests - like the Advertising Standards Authority - will do nothing to help. You are on your own. So, if you come across one of these criminals, stay away. Tell your friends or anybody who is interested in Astrology that there are fakes and scammers out there. Direct them to this site and let them see the evidence. By doing this you will help stamp out these parasites.
