Jonathan Cainer 

Good morning. 

5th May 2008. Saturn turns direct.

Retrograde Saturn has been moving backwards through the Sign of Virgo for some time and as a result has slowed down manufacturing and has affected the fortunes of those political parties who allegedly support the working classes - in this country, the Labour Party. Some Astrologer, notably the Sun Sign Cowboys, are now predicting a change in fortunes, but is this really the case? The answer is no. Saturn limits whether it is in retrograde or direct motion. The only difference is that the limitation is likely to be more severe in the former case. What they also forget is that having produced difficulties while retrograding, Saturn must now revisit those problems, albeit in a more constructive way, but we should not expect a huge reversal in fortunes just yet. Public confidence has suffered greatly largely due to crackpot policies which added to the overall problems and dithering by leaders, not to mention a large measure of greed from the multinationals and money-grubbing banks, although it has to be said that the greed component is down to the activities of Pluto. Nevertheless, we should not expect things to come back to normal yet. Saturn never hurries. 

Here we go again!

Anyone who follows Jonathan Cainer cannot fail to notice how many times he predicts wonderful events for the world and its people, events that never happen, but to be fair he does occasionally manage to recognise that a difficult aspect means just that - difficulties. However, he just can't seem to help putting a positive spin on it and shooting himself in the foot in the process. 

Today, he is targeting what to him seems like an important aspect in the heavens - Mars quincunx Neptune. It is of no importance, but let's bear with him for a while. According to the King of the Sun Sign Cowboys: 

This week, Mars and Neptune form an antagonistic angle causing many people, regardless of when they were born, to start doubting old assumptions and beliefs. The old certainties make less sense than they used to. The more we all wonder what's really going on, the more we suspect that we will never understand anything again. What's really happening now is the discovery of a new solution - a possibility that has always been open to us all, but has never previously seemed appropriate. Expect soon to come across an answer to many questions.

Sifting through the ramblings, I notice he is attributing this configuration to beliefs. Surely, according to the rules of Astrology, beliefs belong to Jupiter not Neptune? And, what on earth has doubts got to do with it? As for answers turning up to questions - it beggars belief. 

Anyone with even a slight knowledge of Astrology knows full well that Mars represents action and activity, and in a difficult aspect, conflict. Neptune rules hidden matters, and under difficult aspect, deception. This is the classic aspect of scattered energies due to allowing ones imagination to run away with itself, and is often referred to as 'chasing rainbows'. It often result in muddles, mix-ups, and is particularly connected with those who mean well but somehow manage to get it all wrong. I wonder who that could apply to?

Food for thought. Jonathan Cainer is still insisting that everything in the world will soon be put right and that the ingress of Mars in Cancer will greatly assist this process and the bright signs of recovery will soon begin to show. Sorry, but it won't - at least not according to the rules of Astrology. Let's see who is right.

Fraud of the year with the most complaints.

The outright winner is none other than the person who goes by the name of Jenna. Most complaints centre on the fact that her so-called reports are computer-junk in which she manages to get around 25% of the planets in the wrong place. More serious is the fact that some people have sent money to Jenna only to receive nothing at all. Emails querying the problem were just ignored. See the full story here. 

Close runner up is Pasqualina, alias Sara Freder, alias... Computer reports and an assortment of pseudo-occult junk. 

Sun Sign Cowboy of the Year

Runaway winner is none other than self proclaimed top Astrologer Jonathan Cainer. Lots of Astrological blunders; daft predictions not backed up by Astrological evidence; 'spookily accurate' readings that are in fact computer reports which Cainer never even sees - they are churned out by the office staff; Tarot card reading service consisting of computerised prerecorded messages. Constantly asserts that the world is about to be a much better place thanks to 'auspicious' happenings in the heavens, yet as we all know the reverse is true. Latest craze is that of trying to convince us that an insignificant comet is about to make us all much happier despite the plain fact that comets are not part of the Astrological scheme. Critics.

Hypocrite of the year.

The award goes to lennyhipp otherwise known as Lenny the Loony. Lenny is well known for his over the top assertions, such as: 

ALL astrology is deluded. ALL astrologers are deluded. ANYONE who has any interest in astrology or consults an astrologer is deluded. Loony Lenny has elected himself to be the scourge of astrology, taking every opportunity to 'expose' it and constantly insisting that you, the public, should listen to him and him alone. Yet this man has been secretly learning astrology, even bragging that he was getting good at it. How hypocritical can one be? Read all about Lenny here. 

Loudmouth of the year.

The award goes to Shane Killian who hides behind the pseudonym of shanedk. This man makes what he describes as 'educational' videos for uTube on the subject of Astrology. Problem is, Shane knows absolutely nothing about Astrology other than what his mates tell him or what he can selectively glean from the Internet. He rants and raves, occasionally shouting at the camera, reeling off lots of supposed facts about Astrology, the majority of which are completely wrong. Sad Shane could save himself a lot of aggravation by simply picking up a standard textbook on Astrology and reading it. Apparently this is beneath him. Like most other critics, Screaming Shane has run away from every challenge issued by me. 

Coward of the year.

The award goes to the young man who hides behind the pseudonym of unclefeedle. Feedle, like most critics, knows nothing about the subject, never having even read a textbook on it, yet he is a vociferous critic. Feedle has set up what he describes as a 'Fair & uncensored debate' on Astrology, in which he steals one of my logos, adulterates it with sarcastic remarks, finally describing Astrology as' A crock of steaming s**t' This is what Feedle calls fair minded?  

Feedle has been challenged on many occasions to prove to us all that he knows what he is talking about. I even offered to prove Astrology does work by doing a completely free character profile. Feedle has run away from every challenge, preferring the comfort of his cronies instead. Feedle also has an aversion to reading a standard textbook on Astrology. I wonder why? Could it be he likes the celebrity status he thinks he has?
